News from Class 1 Week of 30th June

It has been back to normal after MADD week.
On Monday morning we practiced for our Sports Day next week. We are getting really quick at the races.
In the afternoons this week we have been looking at History and thinking about the Seaside. We have read a story about Steven Seagull and some of us have had to put what happens in the story in order. There were lots of different props for us to explore.

We have then had the opportunity to explore different seaside type things. We have had some fun in a water tray using fish that squirt water. There has been some sand out for us to practice making our sandcastles. We have all chosen a picture for our postcard and then tried to write on the back. Some of us planned our own holiday using holiday brochures. It has also been fun to sort pictures into old and new.
As a special treat on Friday, for a fantastic open evening, we all had a visit from an ice cream van. We really enjoyed the ice cream.

Next week is going to be another busy week. On Monday morning we will be going into our new classes for September. We are sure will have a fabulous morning. On Tuesday it is our sports festival when we all get to show off our sporting excellence. In the afternoons we will be having our DT lessons and will be designing our own t-shirts.
Have a great weekend
