We’re all going on a Blackpool holiday!

Each week in Class one just gets better and better! This week in Geography we have brought Blackpool to our classroom. Exploring what transport we could use, what we might see and what exciting things there are to do on a day out.

We started off at our role play beach; building sandcastles and walking the donkeys, splashing around with the inflatables and playing on the coconut shy.

We then had a look at Blackpool tower and the Pleasure beach. The roller coasters looked so exciting and we were amazed at ‘The Big One’ and how big it is! Getting creative we had a go at making our own Tower and ride using building blocks, pipe cleaners and recycling boxes.

Watching the Illumination on the interactive whiteboard was so much fun! Spotting the trains and trams all lit up. We had a go at making our own illuminations pictures and exploring the sensory light box.

What do you think of our Illumination pictures?

On Tuesday afternoon Jemma told us you can’t go to Blackpool and not have a chippy tea. So guess what? We had some FISH AND CHIPS!!

We had a look and a smell of all the different things you can buy at the chip shop. A sausage, fish, curry sauce, gravy, mushy peas and the best bit; chips! Then went to sit around the table to have a taste. It was yummmy!

To finish off our Class trip to Blackpool we had a dance at the tower ballroom. We listened to the strictly music and tried on some leotards, dresses and ballroom shoes then had a good boogie.

Weekend activity: Can you spot Blackpool Tower in your car whilst on your travels this weekend?
